Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects these disorders have on general health. Chiropractic care is used to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints that can generate a wide range of possible symptom patterns throughout the body. Doctors of Chiropractic, or Chiropractic Physicians, are trained to look at the whole body for dysfunction to determine the cause, instead of focusing on the area of complaint and suppressing the symptoms. They practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes an examination, diagnosis and case by case patient specific treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also certified in Physiotherapy, as well as provide nutritional and work/lifestyle counseling. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as the “chiropractic adjustment..” The purpose of an adjustment is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a joint specific controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile, or restricted in their movement, as a result of a physical, chemical or emotional imbalance. This needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved.

Since 2010, Dr. Anderson has been based here in the South Bay to be near good waves and great people. He lived in Hermosa Beach with his wife and now they reside in Huntington Beach where he grew up. Raised by a father whom was an engineer and mother a physical therapist, it was inevitable he gravitated to a profession that focuses on the mechanics of the body. Specializing in functional performance and rehabilitation has attracted many elite professional athletes that are local, retired or just happen to be in town. Soft tissue is released, nerve blockage is freed up, and muscle coordination is taught. Specific manual adjustments are done when necessary. Gentle low force treatments are available if needed for kids, babies and elderly. The goal is to get you less dependent on treatment, and empower you to take control to reach your goals.
